INTRODUCTION
As part of our mission to provide credit to everyone at ATOL FINANCE, we collect and use information about you, our customers, and our suppliers.
Customers. If we change our privacy practices, we may update this Privacy Policy. If any changes are material, we will notify you (e.g., via the ATOL FINANCE administrator interface or by e-mail)
Our values
Trust is the foundation of the ATOL FINANCE platform. This foundation includes the trust you place in us to handle your information appropriately. Three main values guide us in the development of our products and services. These should help you better understand how we view your information and privacy.
Your information belongs to you
We carefully consider the types of information we need to provide our services, and we try to limit the information we collect to what we actually need. Where possible, we delete or anonymise such information when we no longer need it. When improving our services, our engineers work closely with our privacy and security teams to follow a design process that takes into account the privacy of this information. During these processes, our guiding principle is that your information belongs to you, and our goal is to use your information only for your benefit.
We protect the privacy of your information
If a third party requests access to your personal information, we will not share it unless you give us permission or we are legally required to do so. Where we are legally required to share your personal information, we will inform you in advance, unless prohibited by law.
We help clients and partners meet their privacy obligations.é
Many clients and partners who work with ATOL FINANCE do not have a dedicated data privacy team. However, we believe it is important to help them meet their privacy obligations. To this end, we try to provide services that do not force our clients to violate privacy. We also provide detailed FAQs, documentation and white papers on the most important privacy topics. We also respond to the privacy questions we receive.
Why do we process your information?
Why do we process your information?
We generally process your information when it is necessary to fulfil a contractual obligation (for example, to process your credit application with ATOL FINANCE). Or where we or someone we work with needs to use your personal information for a reason related to your credit application. European law calls these reasons "legitimate interests". These "legitimate interests" include the following:
prevent risk and fraud
answering questions or providing other types of assistance
provide and improve services
provide reports and analysis
test additional services
We only process personal information in the context of these "legitimate interests" after considering the potential risks to your privacy. For example, by ensuring clear transparency of our privacy practices, offering you control over your personal information where appropriate, limiting the information we retain, limiting what we do with your information, to whom we send it, how long we retain it or the technical measures we use to protect it.
One way we help customers work with ATOL FINANCE is by using techniques such as "machine learning" (European law calls this "automated decision making") to help us improve our services. When we use machine learning, either: (1) we still have a human being involved in the process (and are therefore not fully automated); or (2) we use machine learning in a way that does not have significant privacy implications.
We may process your personal information where you have given your consent. In particular, where we have no other legal basis for processing, where your data is extracted and already has consent attached, or where we are required by law to seek your consent in connection with some of our funding services. At any time you have the right to withdraw your consent by changing your communication choices, unsubscribing from our communications or contacting us.
Your rights to your information
We believe that you should be able to access and control your own personal information, no matter where you live. Depending on how you work with ATOL FINANCE, you may have the right to request access to, correct, amend, delete, transfer to another financial institution, restrict or object to certain uses of your personal information. We will not charge you a higher fee or provide you with a different level of service if you exercise your privacy rights.
If you obtain a loan from ATOL FINANCE and wish to exercise these rights over your credit information, you should contact us.
If you are not satisfied with our response to a request, you may contact us to resolve the issue. You also have the right to contact your local data protection or privacy authority at any time.
Finally, because there is no common interpretation of the phrase "Do not follow" the signal is meant to mean that we do not respond to these signals in a particular way.
Where do we send your information?
We are a French institution, but we process and work with data from people all over the world. In the course of providing our services, we may send your personal information outside your county, region, province, country or state, including to the United States. This data may be subject to the laws of the countries to which we send it. When we send your information across borders, we take steps to protect it and try to send it only to countries that have strict data protection laws.
Finally, while we do our best to protect your personal information, there are times when we may be legally required to disclose it (for example, if we receive a valid court order). For more information on how we respond to these requests, please see our Guidelines for Legal Requests.

How can you contact us?
If you would like to inquire, ask a question, or submit a credit application, please send us a request via our credit application form. If you would like to submit a legally binding request for access to someone else's personal information (for example, if you have a subpoena or court order), please see our Legal Request Guidelines.
